David Wright is a keen amateur photographer. As he has two Irish setters and lives on the beautiful north coast of Ireland, land- and sea-scapes, sometimes with dogs, provide most of his images. His interests are not restricted to these areas, as people, nature and macro detail also provide fascinating photographic topics for him.
He obtained his first SLR, a 1959 Asahi Pentax H2, in 1976 and a Canon A1 in 1979. He still has both of them!
David’s research at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge in the late 1970s involved B&W photography of electron diffraction images and learning the dark arts of film processing and enlarging. He soon was doing this for his own images too.
After many years of enjoying film cameras, David has embraced digital photography in a big way, while not forgetting his roots! Most days he can be found, camera in hand, exploring woods and beaches with his dogs.
